This was the eeriest building...it had bars all over the place, and even though it was a hot summer day, it was FREEZING in it...

The place was huge, it was like a town...

A picture I took of the building through the basement window...it was like standing in front of an open freezer because it was so cold

In the middle of the abandoned buildings was an elementary school...still in use.

Lots of houses

Pictures inside: (it was actually pitch black in there...my flash was just really bright. We heard weird sounds in there so we had to run out)

Creepy. Excellent pics.
Where'bout in Jersey is this? Really far north? I've never heard of that place.

fantastic housing now available! and the toll brothers want to develop all of NJ. see http://jameshowardkunstler.typepad.com/ too for more 'suburban decay' talk. especially the War to Save Suburbia (the "iraq war")
